H.R.H. PRINCE BANDER BIN ABDULLAH AL-SAUD, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER SOROOF INTERNATIONAL
H.R.H. Prince Bander Bin Abdullah Al-Saud is part of the new generation of the Saudi royal family who believe that business and technology, not just natural resources, are the keys to the kingdom´s future.

A former air force pilot, Prince Bander is now CEO of Soroof International, a company that develops its own technology in a range of areas,  from the oil and gas industry to drinking water, medical equipment  and security services – all of them with an environmentally-friendly approach.

The company´s name translates loosely as “change, continuous change,” he explains. Although his business is clearly on the cutting-edge, the prince is by his own admission, a conservative where religion and tradition are concerned. He sees no dichotomy between maintaining traditions and achieving the progress his country requires.

In a wide-ranging interview with United World, Prince Al-Saud discusses Soroof International’s business, its achievements, its commitment to the environment and what he learned from his experience as a pilot in the Saudi Royal Air Force.
