GSI Creos Incorporation (Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo Japan: Representative Director and President and CEO Mr. Tadaaki Yoshinaga, hereinafter GSI Creos) has established a new semiconductor business site in Shanghai, China, in order to strengthen the sales structure of the Group's semiconductor-related business in an effort to increase global demand, and has established a structure for expanding the business through collaboration between three locations in Japan, North America, and China.
The new company name is GSI Creos Technology (China) Co. Ltd., hereinafter GST expecting sales of US$30 million in the first year.
The GSI Creos Group will strengthen its semiconductor business, which continues to grow and expand on a global scale, as one of its main businesses for the next generation, while developing its business by establishing "environment”, "life and health", and "energy" as growth business areas. Until now the company has been selling semiconductor manufacturing equipment, silicon wafers, and materials necessary for manufacturing processes in the Japanese, North American, and Chinese markets. In particular, GSI Creos invested in National Silicon Industry Group Co., Ltd. (Shanghai) in 2019 listed Technology Innovation Board of Shanghai Stock Exchange Market. In response to the recent increase in the importance of the Chinese market, we will establish a specialized semiconductor business base in China to strengthen the sales structure and increase the added value of the business.
Although tensions between the U.S. and China are expected to continue due to political and economic conflicts, Japanese companies’ role between them are expected to increase.
At the same time as the establishment, GST became a sole sales agent in Chinese market of the world's Major producer and sales company Greene, Tweed & Company Inc. (USA), hereinafter GTknown for heat resistance and plasma resistance excellent high-functions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment sealing material (O-ring).
GSI Creos acquired GT's existing agent as GST with the main aim of expanding sales of GT products O-ring in the Chinese market, and in the future, the Group's three locations will collaborate to sell semiconductor-related products handled by the Group. GSI Exim America Inc. who is a subsidiary of GSI Creos in the US, has been its long-established business partners of GT from in the mid of 1980th on the sealing material business.
GSI is proud to now be a representative of the respected GT brand. GT customers will continue to receive the same high level of quality and service that they have come to expect.
